Okay, so you are planning a vacation in Thassos or you're already there and looking for relaxing and photogenic beaches, right? Thassos was the first island I visited when I first went to Greece. It is a journey of about 10 hours driving and ferrying from Bucharest.
If you manage to make your time pass quickly in the car, than you are almost there.
Now... What to do on the ferry? Arm yourself with a camera and buy a bag of puffs. Now go admire the landscape, take a puff, keep it with two fingers, raise your hand and ..... FEED THE SEAGULLS !!!!!
It's an amaaaazing... experience. But keep your fingers on the edge of the puff coz their beak can pinch you slightly.

Now about the beaches ... I've visited almost all the beaches of Thassos.
A beach a day keeps you ... well.. your monotony away! The adventure begins in Potos, because we booked our stay there. What you are about to read is a list of the places we've been through and a top three of those I liked the most.
#Potos Beach
The beach is small, nothing interesting to see. If you are not accommodated here, you can skip it. If you are, the food is really good and tasty. Waiters speak Greek, English, even Romanian (because many of us spend the summer holidays in Greece). You will also find some nice bars (like the one in this photo).

#Aliki Beach
This is among my favorite little beaches in Thassos. Take your inflatable mattress, water glasses, sun cream and get ready to float on your stomach all day long.
You'll have many small and colorful fishponds to look at, climb hills and the smell of olives and pines makes you feel like you're in a sauna. You can also swim in a cave (because it is a small one there) and you can explore the ruins of an ancient church ... don't worry, you'll not get bored here.
The food is really good and fresh (try octopus) and something else: you will feel like walking on the moon (the marble stones)
Look:

My father likes to catch marine creatures that we can admire together - it's kinda our thing

Sea urchins alive and dead.

The last but not least...
#Tripiti Beach
Another beautiful beach, it has a more modern, more elegant air and a very smooth sand.
The food: You will eat well here as well. Pasta is always a good idea if you are looking for something more italian-ish & less greek traditional or with fish.
The water, on the other hand, this is another story...
Very important! Bring your water shoes because you will definitely hurt yourself.
In the water you can see how the tectonic plates moved because the stones are all placed on different levels.
!! You really have to be careful and know how to swim. A moment you find yourself very high on a stone, the next one you are 2m deep in water.
Put your goggles on ... it's amazing underwater! Hedgehogs (careful not to get stab by them), fish, all kinds of sea creatures. And if you want to venture out on a water expedition, you'll end up in a cute little bay (somewhere on the right).

I obviously went on an expedition, but for me it was on the land.

#Paradise Beach
This is not exactly a top, I've listed them in the order I visited them (I told you I was taking you with me).
Paradise Beach is not the last one, it is among the hottest beaches in Thassos and you will tan in a superb scenery.

Took some really quick pics on this stone, but it was roasting as if it was brought directly from Hell.

That's all folks ! I hope you liked the list and you will make a tour maybe even more successful than mine. Do not forget to visit the article "Tips for your holiday in the beaches of Greece", especially if it is the first time you travel there!
Have an wonderful trip !
Bonus tip:
#Marble Beach
Well ... I do not really recommend this beach very much. Many tourists come here and are excited ... I have not been.
We've lost a few good hours on the road for some marble stones. Exactly. A marble stone beach. We took some pictures and went back to Aliki Beach. I don't know if they have improved something since then, but there was nothing there. No sunbeds either.
