Days, nights, hours, years? It does not matter anymore in Thailand. 12 hours of flight and believe me, I did not close an eye, except the simulated sleep on the plane. First of all, if you ever flew by plane at night, have you ever looked around? As the light diminishes slightly, the cold air is stronger, the blinds are pulled and the plane is suddenly dark? Then it seems like a spell is spreading over all the passengers and everyone is asleep ... they are all numb, with the earphones on their ears and with that little blanket that is pulled over their shoulders...

Silence...

We reached the airport in Thailand for the first time and met with the rest of the group. Yes, my mother chose a very cool circuit through Thailand with a Thai guide and a French group. I looked up and saw the sky through the airscreen's ceiling and the air conditioning was so hard, I said...hm... it must be chilly outside. And then a tall, smiley and bald guy stepped out. He turned back, his eyes wide and stunned, saying: "wow...did you saw how it is outside ??"

How was it outside ? .... FUCKING SAUNA DUDEEEE !!!!!!!! SAUNA.

We have arrived in a superb hotel. They all were great. Irreproachable. We booked in, we left our luggage and we stopped at the hotel's restaurant to eat something.

Do not read about traditions and behaviors in other countries anymore ! because you will end up not knowing how to eat with a spoon....like me. Allover Youtube and allover travel blogs, travel vlogs explain how Thai people eat and how they use the fork and the spoon differently. By my side, two teenagers from China.... they were stuffing their mouths with the spoons full of cereals and ate with open mouths, without any fucking business !!! I told myself: Roberta.... eat like an european, for fuck's sake ! omg.

Then we went to the pool. Then we finally started our Bangkok adventure ! No....we haven't slept until now. Not even further !

Tropical heat, unforgiving sun... wear long sleeve and long pants in Thailand! We visited some temples and began to learn about their traditions (not 'the spoon and the fork' one), about Buddhism, about the statues that each show a different day of the week and which embodies the Buddha in different positions etc.

In the evening, the guide told us in the bus how to get back to the hotel from the night market, saying that "at the high traffic light, turn left and then go for 5 minutes and you're ready at the hotel." Well ... for the Thai people, 5 minutes can rarely be 5 minutes, but mostly 5 hours or 5 fucking days !

The bus dropped us off at the Night market (remember, still our first day in Bangkok) for about 40 minutes in which we had to: admire, take pictures, find something to eat, come back to the bus.

Oh ! My mother and I found a super cute bar and it was so crowded ! It had a long bench where all the people stood like shoulder to shoulder. The food was like automatically cooked and there were so many dishes in the menu that it took us like 10 minutes just to look through it all with so much speed! I'm not kidding you ! I finally ordered my coconut water, in a coconut, which is exactly a coconut with a straw.

Until we figured it out, we can not get the food anymore because we need to catch the bus !!! So I quickly asked them to put our food in a package and ran to the bus. One guy was guiding a Bob Marley doll on dance steps. I was fascinated. My mother was hurrying me up.

We got to the bus only 2 minutes after the fixed time and the bus took off...without us.....

Fuck.

Ah, yeah. Myth: There is no wi-fi allover Bangkok, anywhere in Bangkok, according to travel websites, vlogges and so on. We had charged mobile phones and they were not useful, but we had a picture of the hotel! (my mom posed all the places where we were staying) and at least we had something to ask people about!! We did not ask anyone. We are independent women !

Our guide told us how to do it.

The Bangkok wanted us !! It wanted us to have a real adventure and see it for a while, but what to see when you run unconsciously because you are in your first day in Thailand and the bus left without you ?!

We have gone through a dozen places with delicious and tasty food! Everywhere on the streets of Bangkok is fresh food ! Dozens of tropical fruit merchants, dozens of woody kiosks, with plastic curtians in the wind. The streets were enlightened and there was so many people. We turned left at the big traffic light and from there we walked for 5 minutes ... one hour and a half. Yes..That's how much we walked. And our rush we were so close to miss the hotel. But we fouuund iiitttt !!!! We've found our hotel, found our room, we took a long-awaited shower and we ate the packed food that was already cold..... OH MY FUCKING GOD MY MOUTH IS ON FIRE !!!!!!!

Let me show you some pictures:

China Town

The Spicy Killer Chicken

Mother and I, happy, excited, before we got lost in Bangkok ... ah yes ... and sleepless for 2 days.

Flower Market. these ones are handmade. Would you have had the patience ?

Temple of the Golden Mountain. We were even closer to the sun in this picture and even happier!

I still did not know what kind of adventure is waiting for us. Meanwhile, me and my coconut.

The video with our first day in Bangkok, enjoy !

I'll tell you about the other days of the circuit, I promise !

'Till next time !
